I like to breakdown every lesson so you can know exactly what you’re getting. Feel free to use the table of contents below to navigate the review.

Who Is K Money Mastery For?

K Money Mastery is for anyone who wants to create a system to generate passive income.

I know that might sound corny but it’s true.

This course shows you how to create a publishing system where you don’t even have to write the book if you don’t want to.

Will you get rich overnight?

No, probably not.

people walking on city street

If you’re looking to learn how to write books better for yourself, this course might not be for you. This is all about creating a system and leveraging freelancers to create a stream of consistent income.

However, this course can easily pay for itself and more even after one or two books.

If you’re looking to generate some side income, and potentially stick with this technique for awhile you can make a significant amount of money.

K Money Mastery Scam

Is K Money Mastery a scam?

It’s not, and here’s why.

K Money Mastery will work and make you money, as long as you do. That means you have to take action and follow the steps.

You don’t see $1000 dollars in one week, you will however be on the right path to generate another source of income that can add up significantly over time.

So just one more time for the folks in the back. No, K Money Mastery is not a scam.

K Money Mastery Review [2019]

Lesson 1: Finding A Profitable Niche [16 Minutes]

Stefan breaks down profitable niches by two categories. Fiction and nonfiction. The overview is quick and to the point. This process involves combining Amazon best sellers and finding topics to write about based on currently successful tactics.

This varies strategy varies depending on if you’re going fiction or nonfiction. For example, one of the cons of writing fiction is that you’re limited in your keyword research.

Often times books that do well in the ‘thriller’ category don’t have that in their title. I’ve personally noticed the ones that do, seem a bit over optimized and spammy.

This section is really trying to see if your topic or niche book is going to have buyers or not.

Lesson 2: Keyword Research [42 Minutes]

This part of K Money Mastery is probably one of the most crucial steps of the course, skipping out on this section could really doom your entire publishing efforts.

Lesson 2 goes into a good amount of detail in what to look for in terms of keywords, and how to size up your competition. This is done through example, where Stefan picks some potential winning niche ideas right in Amazon.

laptop and book on desk

There is also a tool that is recommended you can use to help pull information about kindle books from your browser so you can make quicker decisions if a niche or subject if too competitive, or a great opportunity.

There is a very lengthy and detailed 20 page PDF that goes along with this section, that I think actually gives a better breakdown of this process than the videos.

Lesson 3: Creating A Title That Sells [7 Minutes]

Very basic overview of best practices when creating a title for your book. If you know anything about SEO this isn’t groundbreaking material. If you’re brand new to internet marketing, or making money online in general then this training is perfect.

He also touches on including LSI keywords in your title AKA related terms, and goes over some examples of good book titles, verses crappy ones.

Lesson 4: Design A Cover That Sells [9 Minutes]

Can you guess which service we’re going to use to get our book covers made?

If you guessed Fiverr, you’re a winner!

Seriously though, this is very basic stuff so if you were expecting something fancier well, sorry.

This course is a way for you to systematically be able to produce eBooks that could create passive income over the span of months or even years, so there needs to a marketplace that can deliver high quality, affordable book covers. That place is Fiverr.

That’s it.

Lesson 5: Kindle Book Creation [36 Minutes]

This is where the research we did comes to life. Here, Stephan shares four different places you can get your book outsourced online. He shows examples of how to go about finding great ghostwriters, and how to check their work to make sure it isn’t stolen.

A lot of the services he uses are pretty well known, however one of them he provides a coupon code for, to save you a little money in the long run.

There are also book templates and a ghostwriter agreement here that you can use, which is a great additional resource, especially for someone who is new in the publishing space

Lesson 6: Preparing Your Book For Publishing [27 Minutes]

This is where we make sure your book not just reads great, but looks sexy.

There are four videos in this section, 3 of which go over how to format your eBook to make it look and read nice. Stephan covers the differences between formatting for Kindle on Mac, and just regular Kindle which was helpful and something I personally wouldn’t have planned for.

The last video in this lesson basically says, if you don’t want to spend time doing this, it can easily be done on Fiverr for a few bucks.

Lesson 7: Creating A KDP Account [5 Minutes]

A brief five minutes video walking you through how to create a KDP account. You need a Kindle Direct Publishing account to, well, publish your book!

Lesson 8: Publishing Your Book On Kindle [25 Minutes]

You’re finally ready! This lesson covers how to get your book up on Amazon, and how to navigate away from some of the pitfalls that some authors can find themselves.

person with a kindle outside

Here you’ll learn how to create great descriptions, choose the best category for your book, and optimize for proper keywords. Stephan also explains the difference between the two royalty earnings and guides you through which options are best.

Pretty straight forward, but if you’re like me and never published a book on Amazon before, this section was considerably helpful.

Lesson 9: Viewing Your Book On Amazon [4 Minutes]

This didn’t really feel like it needed to be lesson to be completely honest. It just shows you how to find your book on the marketplace, and then grab your link for it so you can promote it.

Is that important? Yes.

Did it needs its own lesson? Ehh probably not.

Lesson 10: Getting Amazon Reviews [40 Minutes]

Getting reviews early is going to be the spark that ignites your Kindle ebook on the Amazon platform.

This module covers six different methods you can (and should) use to promote your book in the early stage of it being published.

I also came up with another strategy not covered in this training where you can get people to buy your book, and leave a review. I’ve used this technique boost sales and reviews on Amazon for physical products, but it works well for eBooks as well.

If you’re interested I’ll share it in the link below.

Lesson 11: Marketing On KDP Select [8 Minutes]

This is mini guide on how to leverage KDP Select to increase your book sales. In KDP Select you can run free book deal promotions.

There are also a number of online directories you can submit your eBook to. This helps expose your book to more people and increases its organic visibility on the web.

Lesson 12: Using Twitter & Facebook To Promote Your Book [15 Minutes]

I felt a bit spammy during this lesson. To sum it up, you’re posting all about your eBook in related Facebook groups and Twitter pages. The thing is, even in the lesson examples you can see a million people doing the same thing.

Personally, I wouldn’t do this. Sure I guess it doesn’t hurt, but the likelihood of you getting any downloads with this method seems pretty slim.

If I could rewrite this section I would advise that you position your book in groups where it truly adds value.

What do I mean?

Say you have book on weight loss for people with mobility issues. Find groups for elder fitness, or handicap support groups and join.

I’ll try to stick with the Key Money Master review, but I feel like I just had to add that in there.

all we need is more likes

Write a personal post about your passion for helping solve the challenges that come with weight loss for people with disabilities.

This way, you’re clearly adding value and are not seen as spam, but you’re also posting in an area that’s highly relevant to who your book is for. Win win.

Sure it takes more time, but I bet you’ll see significantly better results.

Lesson 13: Additional Book Promotion Strategies [14 Minutes]

The video in this lesson covers all of the additional ways you can promote your book. To be fair to Stephan, he does go into a bit more detail when it comes to promoting rather than just spamming (I’m writing this review as I take the course).

Promoting will be something I feel you’ll spend a good amount of time doing. This can also be outsourced in some capacity, however the spammyness and tactics used by people on platforms such as Fiverr can’t always be verified.

lady in library

If you thought that you would publish your book and then sip lattes all day, unfortunately you have been misguided. This requires some sweat equity, even if you’re having your entire book written by someone else.

Lesson 14: Boosting Your Amazon Keyword Rankings [3 Minutes]

This was a surprisingly short but powerful lesson. It breaks down the relatively simple formula Amazon uses to rank your book. While the formula may be simple, putting all the systems in place to get the result, can be a bit tricky.

Lesson 15: Setting Up Your Amazon Author Central Account [11 Minutes]

Creating an AAC account can have a number of benefits when it comes to getting your book sold. By creating this account you get to tell your audience a little bit about you, or your pen name.

This helps drive conversions as well as reinforces branding if you choose to create a series of books in a related topic.

Here you’ll get to write out your Bio as well as secure your custom Amazon author page URL. Like I said, this comes in handy to differentiate yourself as a brand which is a great long term play.

Lesson 16: Monetizing Your Kindle Book [5 Minutes]

Short and sweet, but truly powerful. This is all about getting the most bang for your buck when it comes to your book. This covers all of the additional forms of monetization you can apply to your book, including getting it published as a paperback and even turning it into an audio book.

While these few lessons have been short from a content perspective, keep in mind that it almost feels like a blueprint. Each lesson really walks you through exactly what to do, and when to do it, so naturally there will be times when less action is needed.

Lesson 17: Creating A Series Of Books And Monetizing The Back-End [10 Minutes]

Creating a series of books is where a lot of passive income can truly be generated. One single book might generate a few bucks a month, but a series of related books could potentially bring in a decent income.

Stephan shows how to cross promote your related books as well as leverage the power of email lists to really take your digital product to the next level or promotion.

Lesson 18: Dealing With Negative Reviews [8 Minutes]

Negative reviews are bound to happen, and dealing with them is important.

There will be haters everywhere you go, but sometimes criticism is deserved and should be noted.

The main takeaway here is two things.

Improve upon legitimate complaints, and respond professionally.

By doing these two things you’re addressing the key problem that prompted the review while simultaneously showing other readers that you’re active in improving and replying to comments.

Lesson 19: Scaling Up Your Kindle Books And Making More Money [3 Minutes]

The title of this lesson really led me to believe that there was going to be some great tips in this section, but honestly I found it kind of lackluster.

Summarizing what was said, scale what works by leveraging virtual assistants. If things aren’t working and you’re not making money, figure out what isn’t working and fix it before scaling.

Now I guess this is covered more in depth in a bonus lesson but I’ll have to see. I don’t see why not just include it in this section since it’s clearly vital to scaling.

I feel since this is a K Money Mastery review, and the whole point is being able to build this system outside yourself, scaling is a key component that shouldn’t be over looked.

Lesson 20: How To Make Your Books Profitable Long-Term [5 Minutes]

This is almost a repeat of the same information covered in lesson 17..

Stephan goes over getting your Kindle book in multiple places and placed on different platforms.

He does bring up a good point to not get side tracked and abandon your product for the next shiny thing or idea. Be sure to take care of your book and continue improving it.

Cross promotion gets touched on in this section again as well.

I’d like to add that this wasn’t covered in this section, but I personally think you should try to choose topics that are evergreen.

If you want people to buy your book, make sure you’re not writing about Christmas decorations, or how to build an igloo and expect to see the same amount of sales in the summer, that you do in the winter.

Your topics should be relevant no matter what time of year. That tip is probably one of the first things you want to consider before you start writing.

Whoops.

Lesson 21: How To Track, Manage & Optimize Your Kindle Books [9 Minutes]

He’s selling you his SaaS product.

And as of right now www.koptimizer.com is down and does not load a webpage.

Either the website is having issues, or the service is no longer available.

Because the website did not load, I am skipping over this section. From what I can gather this is/was a tool that helped organize and track your Kindle product rankings, positions, and sales.

Maybe this is useful if you had a ton of books out there, but I can’t imagine anyone would benefit too much just having one or two books on this platform.

With a lot of these software services, one API update by Amazon can completely break these tools, so it’s possible that is what happened here.

I could not find any information on what happened with this tool.

Lesson 22: K Money Mastery 2.0 – What’s Next [12 Minutes]

I’ll tell ya what’s next. More trainings!

Stephan basically thanks you for completing the training, and the goes on to pitch his additional courses and up-sells.

This includes access to the Full Disclosure Lessons, Virtual Assistant Training Program, and additional one on one coaching.

I will be covering these up-sells in this blog post as well since they are very closely related to the main K Money Mastery program.

K Money Mastery Full Disclosure [11 Hours]

This additional content is completely optional and at the time of this K Money Mastery review is $47 a month for access.

These videos cover some advanced methods to promote and grow your Kindle publishing business. You can certainly be successful without these additional lessons.

That being said, maybe you already have a book or two published and are looking to speed up the time it takes you to go through the motions, or you’re looking to rank faster. This additional content could definitely help do that.

You could potentially go through 11 hours worth of content in one month and then cancel if you really wanted to. I am no longer a member but from what I am told the training in this section is seldomly updated.

Topics covered in Full Disclosure Advanced Lessons include: Advanced kindle publishing and promotion techniques, how to build a website/landing page for your book, how to publish on Createspace and Audible, and about a half a dozen other topics related to your kindle business.

k money mastery review books

I personally feel that some of these trainings in the advanced course should have been included in the main training. I feel like some of the higher level strategies were withheld just to be resold.

That being said, is Full Disclosure worth it?

I’d say for a month or two. The value is there but I can’t justify spending more than two months on the content.

How To Write A Book In Less Than 24 Hours [55 Minutes]

This is an additional course that will be offered to you while you’re taking the K Money Mastery training. Even though this is a K Money Mastery review, I still think it’s important to cover these additional resources to weight the benefits.

In short, I think this course packs a punch for only being just about an hour long. If you bought K Money Mastery because you wanted to help publish your own book that you wrote, this course will help greatly with that.

clock blue background

I’d like to say that Stephan mentions requiring 500-1000 words in each chapter. I don’t necessarily agree with this.

As long as your chapters are providing clear value to your reader, either through education or entertainment, don’t think those word requirements are key to success.

I would recommend this additional course for anyone who wants to create their own content at least once.

Kindle Virtual Assistant Training

This is where Stephan teaches how to find an manage a virtual assistant to help run your your Kindle business. The content isn’t that mindblowing at least to me, and because it wasn’t included in the base version of K Money Mastery, when I believe it should have been, I cannot recommend it.

K Money Mastery Review Conclusion

I tried to cover all the bases in this K Money Mastery review, and I hope this provided you value in helping you make an informed decision.

This course shows you how to create a publishing system where you don’t even have to write the book if you don’t want to. Will you get rich overnight, probably not.

I did rate this fairly low on support, as support it really only found when you purchase the $47 per month Full Disclosure access.

If you’re looking to learn how to write books better yourself, the ‘How To Write A Book In 24 Hours’ course is perfect for you. K Money Mastery is all about creating a system and leveraging freelancers to create a stream of income.

This course can easily pay for itself and more just after one or two books. The best way to see results from this course is to try and create a system to consistently publish books every couple of weeks. Overtime your portfolio of Kindle products will grow, and so will your earning.

If you’re looking to make fast, quick money this is not the strategy I’d recommend.

If you’re new to self publishing, and making money online in general, I think this is a great course to start with.
